Pakistan sent a strong warning to its neighbor to the east on Thursday, stating that it does not need to use the self-imposed “nuclear blackmail” that New Delhi faces because its conventional capabilities are adequate to dissuade India.
The nuclear-armed country reacted after Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh suggested that the UN’s nuclear agency should monitor Pakistan’s nuclear stockpile.
In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said, “These careless comments demonstrate his deep insecurity and dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s successful defense and deterrence against Indian aggression through traditional means.”
