On Friday, the National Assembly decided to increase the upper age limit for Central Superior Services (CSS) exam takers from 30 to 35. The move would go into effect in 2026.
Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, an MNA for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), proposed suspending the norms and presented the idea to the House, which supported it without raising any issues.
Additionally, candidates will be permitted to take the CSS exam up to five times, which is one more than they now have under the new resolution.
In order for prospective candidates to prepare their applications appropriately, lawmakers asked the administration to enact these relaxations as soon as possible.
