Heatwave conditions are predicted to persist throughout this week, according to a Monday forecast from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
A high pressure system is expected to remain in the upper atmosphere for the duration of this week, according to the Met Department’s daily weather forecast.
From May 20 to May 24, daytime temperatures in the southern part of the country (Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan) are predicted to stay 4 to 6°C above average due to the effect of this system.
In the meantime, from May 20 to 24, daytime highs in the upper half (central and upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan) are probably going to stay 5 to 7°C higher than average.
In scattered locations across the plain, dust storms and strong winds are predicted.
