In the 27th game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs while successfully defending a huge goal of 238 runs.
Following the triumph, both the David Warner-led Kings and the reigning champions Islamabad United advanced to the PSL 10 playoffs.
Zalmi suffered a crushing defeat after chasing a formidable 238-run mark and managing just 214/5 in their 20 overs.
With their new opening pair of Mohammad Haris (nine) and Saim Ayub stitching a quick 30-run stand that ended with the former’s dismissal in the third over, Zalmi got off to a quick flying start in the chase.
