KARACHI: The Pakistani baseball team put on another outstanding display on Friday, defeating Iran 14-0 in their Group B match of the West Asia Baseball Cup.
With almost faultless performances, the reigning champions have won both of their games and taken the lead in group B.
In order to successfully put the game out of reach, Pakistan’s batters dominated Iran’s pitching from the first innings, scoring three runs in the first, six in the second, and three more in the third.
Before the game was halted after seven innings because of the mercy rule, they added two insurance runs against the hosts in the fifth. Pakistan’s perfect defensive performance supported their offensive potency.
