Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Thursday that Pakistan’s recent conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations in South Asia disproved the notion that India is superior in conventional warfare.
The prime minister said this at a ceremony in Muzaffarabad to distribute compensation checks to the relatives of those killed in the recent Marka-e-Haq, or Pakistan-India conflict.
He noted that a conflict between India and Pakistan, both of which possess nuclear weapons, may have descended into danger. The premier stated that “the war’s consequences could have been dire.”
The premier referred to the Pahalgam incident as “regrettable” and reaffirmed that New Delhi had falsely accused Islamabad.
