KARACHI: John Bolton, a former US national security adviser, was censured by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for casting doubt on Pakistan’s nuclear weapons’ security and echoing Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks on the matter.
“Pakistan remains fully confident in the strength of its comprehensive nuclear security regime and the robustness of its command and control structures,” the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a statement Thursday in response to questioning from the media, according to The News.
The declaration came after Bolton told the Indian news agency ANI that the United States has always had “concerns” about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.
