The recent terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, has been harshly denounced by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), which called the act “heinous and cowardly.”
On Wednesday, a strong explosion near Khuzdar’s Zero Point attacked a school bus, killing five people—including three students—at the scene and wounding dozens more. The nation and the world community condemned the incident.
In a statement issued Thursday, the UNSC wished the injured “a speedy and full recovery” and offered its “deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Pakistan.”
The Council reiterated that terrorism is still “one” in all of its forms and manifestations.
