SAN DIEGO: Before dawn Thursday, a small plane crashed onto a neighborhood in California, damaging homes and igniting automobiles, leaving several people believed dead.
When the Cessna 550 crashed into the ground in San Diego, cars on both sides of a roadway caught fire, and at least ten residences were destroyed or struck by debris that dispersed over a large area.
Assistant Fire Department Chief Dan Eddy of San Diego stated, “We’re waiting to get the registered numbers that were on the plane itself, but we’ve found more than one fatality so far.”
