Motorway Police have issued a warning to anyone planning to go to mountainous areas in the aftermath of recent tourist fatalities in Gilgit-Baltistan. They emphasize the importance of vehicle fitness checks and close weather monitoring.
DIG Motorway Police Syed Fareed Ali emphasized during his appearance on News’ morning show “Pakistan” that visitors sometimes underestimate the dangers of visiting northern areas.
DIG Fareed stated, “I think that people are not as prepared as they should be.” Making sure your car is in good condition is crucial. Get your car inspected thoroughly and have all minor repairs, including the tires and batteries, rectified.
He cautioned that in isolated, hilly areas, even small technical problems can result in serious accidents.
