KARACHI: Shashi Tharoor, a Congress MP from India, has stated that the lack of a common commitment to decency and peace is a bigger obstacle to establishing talks between India and Pakistan than language.
Speaking on Tuesday, Tharoor emphasized that only if Islamabad takes concrete steps to combat the “infrastructure of terrorism that is visible everywhere” inside its borders will New Delhi be willing to engage in dialogue with its neighbor.
Recently, Tharoor led an all-party parliamentary delegation to Brazil and said he was successful in communicating to several Latin American countries India’s “strong message” against terrorism.
