Natalie Baker, the US Charge d’Affaires, expressed hope about the future of bilateral collaboration and reiterated the strength of Pakistan-US relations on Wednesday.
At the US Embassy in Islamabad, she commemorated the 249th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence by saying: “Tonight is not only a celebration of our independence, but a reflection of the shared values that bind our two nations – liberty, equality, self-governance, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, senior Pakistani government officials, diplomatic corps members, business executives, civil society representatives, and cultural icons were among the many dignitaries who attended the event. Baker honored the two nations’ long-standing friendship.
