Sikh demonstrators encircled and jeered the all-party delegation of Indian lawmakers in Washington, which was headed by Congressman Shashi Tharoor.
In an effort to disseminate misleading information about Pakistan and mislead the international community, New Delhi has sent several all-party delegations throughout the world.
Before arriving in Washington on Tuesday for the final stop of its tour, the Tharoor-led delegation, which had landed in New York on May 24 from India, had visited Guyana, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil.
Social media videos showed demonstrators heckling Tharoor and other leaders as they arrived at the National Press Building parking lot in Washington, DC, while brandishing flags of a Sikh separatist movement and yelling slogans.
