According to Ukrainian officials on Monday, Russian drone and missile attacks in and around Kyiv overnight caused fires in residential areas, damaged the entrance to a metro station bomb shelter, killed seven people, and injured scores more.
Tymur Tkachenko, the commander of Kyiv’s military administration, posted on the Telegram messaging app that at least six people had been murdered in the crowded Shevchenkivskyi neighborhood of the city, where a whole section of a residential high-rise structure had been damaged.
Four children were among 25 people wounded in the attack, he added.
Tkachenko stated, “The Russians’ approach remains the same: to strike where people might be.”
