According to Russian authorities, Ukraine attacked a plant in the city of Izhevsk, which is more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) from the border, killing three people and injuring forty-five.
Aleksandr Brechalov, the governor of Udmurtia, reported that he had informed President Vladimir Putin about the incident and that six of the injured were seriously hurt. Later, the area was placed under a state of emergency.
The Kupol Electromechanical Plant, a military facility allegedly producing radar stations and Tor surface-to-air missile systems, was the target of drone attacks.
According to Ukrainian media, the facility has created drones and specializes in producing Osa air defense systems.
