ISLAMABAD Amidst persistent conjectures about a potential internal shift in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a recent Gallup Pakistan study indicates that the province’s citizens are generally dissatisfied with matters like accountability, public services, governance, and economic possibilities, The News said on Monday.
Deep frustrations were revealed by a province-wide survey with 3,000 respondents, taken between February and March 2025, two months after a new government led by Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Access to healthcare is poor, at 63%, while 74% say they lack access to clean drinking water and education. Services are considerably bad in southern and rural KP. 49% have inadequate or no electricity, and 66% do not have access to gas. There are very few facilities for young people.
