Gilgit Baltistan government spokesperson Faizullah Firaq told Geo News on Wednesday that all 250 tourists who were trapped on Babusar Road had been evacuated and that a search was being conducted to find the missing.
Babusar Road and Silk Road are still off-limits to vehicles. While a search is being conducted to find the missing people, the rescue operation on Babusar Road has been concluded,” he stated.
According to the spokeswoman, 250 persons who were stuck on Babusar Road have been moved to Chilas, while stranded visitors have been evacuated to safety. Additionally, those stranded on Deosai have been relocated to a more secure location.
