Pakistan’s debut at the FIVB Boys’ U19 Volleyball World Championship got off to a fantastic start as they defeated Belgium in straight sets in their opening encounter in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Pakistan, ranked 19th in the world, opened their campaign with a resounding 3-0 victory over the seventh-ranked Belgian team, winning the sets 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22.
Middle blocker Saud was the game’s top scorer with 13 points, including 9 from attacks and 4 from blocks, while captain Yahya led from the front with a calm and significant performance, collecting 11 points.
