Following the demise of Alexei Navalny, Marina Litvinenko declared that Vladimir Putin had “killed again” after losing her husband, a well-known critic of the Russian president, in 2006.
Prominent Putin opponent Marina Litvinenko’s spouse passed away in 2006 following a poisoning in London with Polonium 210, a rare and extremely strong radioactive isotope.
Although there were suspicions that Mr. Putin personally approved of the murder of the former FSB agent, Russia has consistently denied any participation.
Mrs. Litvinenko has stated that she will not remain silent in the wake of the passing of Alexei Navalny, another critic of the Russian leader.
“You shouldn’t anticipate any different from Putin.”
Ms. Litvinenko referred to Mr. Putin as a “monster” and stated that although she was “shocked” to learn of Mr. Navalny’s passing, she had “no doubt” the Russian president was to blame.
Saying to Kay Burley on News Breakfast, “You can’t expect anything else from Putin,” she remarked.
She said, “I don’t” in response to the question of whether she is afraid to speak out against the Russian government, adding that Mr. Putin would want for people to live in dread.
