US Central Command, or Centcom, said it replied to a “large-scale” attack early Saturday.
“These actions are taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure,” the statement said.
The Houthis’ military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that the organization conducted two military actions, the first of which targeted the Singapore-flagged bulk ship Propel Fortune in the Gulf of Aden.
