PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s Ruet-e-Hilal Committee stated on Monday evening that the Ramadan moon had been sighted, and the holy month will begin on Tuesday (tomorrow).
The statement came after the national and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees met in Peshawar to sight the crescent of the Islamic month.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad presided over the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee meeting in Peshawar, which was also attended by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) zonal moon-sighting committee.
Meetings of other zonal committees were held in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Quetta concurrently.
Meanwhile, Ramadan has started in many regions of the world, including the Middle East and Europe.
