Authorities said a shooter on Sunday shot and wounded a state trooper near an airport before police were able to shoot him dead. The shooter also killed two ladies at a Kentucky church.
The women were murdered at Lexington’s Richmond Road Baptist Church. According to Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, who spoke at a press conference in the afternoon, two males were also injured there, one of whom was in critical condition.
The suspect’s age and name were not disclosed by the authorities.
“Some days are really tough, like today,” Weathers remarked. “Sometimes things happen, you just don’t have a reason why.”
