The two were present at the Nova Music festival at the time of the Hamas attack, according to the Jewish Representative Council (JRC) of Greater Manchester and Region.
The two had traveled to the UK to talk about their experiences, but upon arriving at Manchester Airport, they were informed they would need to be questioned, according to a letter to the Manchester Airport Group that was posted on news, the defunct Twitter platform.
In a video of the event that the JRC also made public, a male Border Force officer tells the men about it.
The JRC writes in the letter: “We are writing to express our concerns regarding the treatment of two Jewish Israeli nationals who arrived at Manchester Airport on March 24, 2024, on flight SN2183 from Brussels, and the discriminatory actions of Border Force officers toward them.”
