In its prediction on Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that on April 11, the second day of Eid ul Fitr, the temperature in Sindh would rise over 40°C and maybe as high as 42°C.
The Met Office predicts that today’s high in lower Sindh, including Karachi, will be between 37°C and 39°C. The region will continue to have hot, dry weather with a humidity of 64%.
The PMD predicted that the temperature will stay between 34°C and 36°C during Eid, with a west to south-west sea breeze. The weather would be hot and muggy.
On the other hand, the Met Office noted that rain and thunderstorms are expected to affect the city on April 13 and 14.
“Westerly winds will cause rain throughout most of the country starting on April 13 or 14. Additionally, starting on April 14, mild to heavy rain is predicted for Karachi “Weather analyst Jawad Memon stated on Monday.
He also mentioned that rain is predicted for the city between April 22 and April 23.
Memon also mentioned the possibility of above-average April precipitation throughout the nation, emphasizing that a westerly system might bring additional rain by April 22 or 23.
