LAHORE: Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi announced on Tuesday that he intended to speak at a public assembly during his current three-day official visit to Pakistan, following his arrival in Lahore.
While paying his respects to the “poet of East,” President Raisi visited the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore. “I wanted to address a public gathering in Pakistan, however it could not be possible due to some reasons,” he remarked.
President Raisi made the statement during the tour that he did not feel “alienated” in Pakistan, emphasizing the nation’s unique bond with Iran.
Iran and Pakistan will always have a special place in Raisi’s heart.
