The “Prayer Horse Ride” route, which takes riders through Northern Nevada towns impacted by mining, is intended to raise awareness of their concerns.

According to Duck Valley Shoshone Paiute tribe member Gary McKinney, “We have cultural ties and roots to these landscapes because we are the original inhabitants of the land.”
