Rohit Kumar Sahu has known that he wants to attend college and work in a high-paying white-collar field ever since he can remember. Sahu had no idea how to fulfill his desire of becoming a courier after watching his father ride a bicycle across the city of Ranchi in eastern India, delivering packages.
He thought that working for the food delivery app Zomato would help him make enough money to cover his college expenses, so he applied for a position there.
Sahu started off working a few hours a day so he could work and attend college, but he was unable to make enough deliveries on his bicycle, which prevented him from earning much money.
In order for him to take on more, he borrowed money from friends and a credit business to purchase a scooter.
