Legal experts criticized Stormy Daniels’ evidence on Tuesday in the New York v. Trump case, claiming that her disdain for the former president and her editorializing undermined her credibility.
Daniels’ evidence transformed the trial of former President Donald Trump “into a quasi-sex assault case,” according to legal commentator Danny Cevallos, paving the door for an appeal on behalf of his defense team.
“You always ask the question, can you get this information from a less risky witness?” he responded.
“One of those witnesses, Stormy Daniels, has a tendency to offer her own commentary in addition to responding to the questions posed. I assure you, that is a very risky thing to do. At their desk, the prosecution is saying, “Please just answer the question.”
