ISLAMABAD: Stressing Islamabad’s steadfast support for Beijing on the Taiwan dispute and referring to the island nation as an inalienable part of China, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the “One China” policy on Sunday.
“Pakistan will keep supporting China’s stance on Taiwan, as it has always done so with integrity. Pakistan is compliant with the ‘One China’ policy, Prime Minister Shehbaz declared on X, the previous Twitter platform.
The premier also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Chinese government’s efforts to bring the country together, emphasizing that the pretextual elections and the self-proclaimed government’s transition in Taiwan do not alter the objective facts surrounding the Taiwan dispute.
