The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) promised that Lahore’s current heat wave would end today, but meteorologists caution that the high temperatures could linger for a few more days.
Numerous residents have been hospitalized with heat-related illnesses as a result of the city’s continuous heat wave, which has caused chaos. The intense heat has affected animals and birds, with many showing signs of distress. Even after the deficit of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has been resolved, load shedding persists, adding to the misery of the locals. The situation has gotten worse as a result of extensive power outages caused by technical issues with both new and old transformers.
Not only does the intense heat persist in Lahore, but it also continues to plague a large portion of the country.
