Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi said on Saturday that he would be open to speaking with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provided the party apologized for its previous transgressions.
“If PTI apologizes for previous errors, we are prepared to speak. The governor said at a press conference in Lahore today, “The party should play its role in the Parliament; nothing will be gained by making noise.”
The KP governor’s remarks follow the PTI’s ongoing rant against the Islamabad administration in power and the dispute between the province’s government and the central government over unpaid bills.
But following a “meaningful” conversation with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the parties reconciled and decided to collaborate on public relief efforts.
