The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been instrumental in resolving the long-standing problem of water supply for the Soda Ash Plant in Khushab district.
2.5 cusecs of water from the Mahajir Branch Canal to the Soda Ash Plant were allowed by the SIFC. This important choice is anticipated to have a major positive impact on the local economy and industry, creating a large number of job possibilities.
The plant was developed by Sapphire Chemicals, a division of the Sapphire Group, and it will be essential to Pakistan’s industrial sector. With improved production efficiency, soda ash—which is needed to make glass, detergents, and other chemicals—will be able to meet domestic and global demand.
