According to Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information, Pakistan aspires to have cordial relations with all of its neighbors and has established the framework for the restoration of relations with India.
Regarding Pakistan-India ties, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting made a significant comment.
“We want Pakistan’s economy to recover and we want good relations with our neighbors.” Economic progress can be achieved on an equal footing, but it cannot occur in the absence of peace with all neighbors, the speaker stated.
It is difficult to move forward, he continued, adding that “problems for good ties between both countries are discrimination against minorities in India and the resolution of Kashmir.” However, it must occur eventually.
