LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) employee Aneela Jutt, also known as “Neeli Pari,” was taken into custody by Lahore Police on Thursday after she attacked and tormented Tahir Anjum, the president of the PML-N’s Cultural Wing.
According to Deputy Inspector General Operations Faisal Kamran, the woman was apprehended after police searched and raided a property in the Lohari region.
The female PTI employee attacked the stage actor on Wednesday as he was walking by the party’s hunger strike camp outside the Punjab Assembly. PTI activists set up the camp to show support for their leaders.
As the furious party worker attempted to pull the PML-N leader from his car, he savagely beat and cursed the actor, ripping off a sleeve of his shirt.Aneela claimed that Anjum had called PTI founder Imran Khan a “terrorist” in recordings he had posted, disparaging him while he was imprisoned.
Social media was inundated with videos of the event, which showed the PTI activist berating the stage actor and desperately fighting to remain in his automobile, his right arm’s sleeve shredded to rags.
Aneela defied the security guards’ pleas and cautions to allow Anjum escape the scene, despite their attempts to stop her by a few police officers and bystanders, but to no avail.
