KARACHI: The United Arab Emirates has issued a warning to Pakistanis living in the Gulf state, stating that they will not be granted visas to enter the oil-rich nations if they are discovered to be involved in disseminating false information against their nation, institutions, or leaders.
The UAE consul general in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, has urged Pakistanis to abstain from disseminating false information, citing social media notices of individuals residing in or visiting the Gulf country that resulted in several arrests and sentences of 14 to 15 years in prison.
According to the consul general, over five Pakistanis received life sentences, and the most of them were deported.
In the United Arab Emirates, people of almost 200 different ethnicities and religions coexist peacefully, according to Bakheet. He stated there are more than 1.8 million Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates.
