The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has declared that on Sunday, August 4, the gas supply to a few parts of Karachi will be cut off for a full twelve hours.
According to a spokesman for SSGC, the utility is working to remedy the low pressure of gas for residential customers as well as the industrial and commercial sectors in the port city. This includes suspending the gas delivery. The statement was released on Friday.
The company announced that on Sunday, a 12-kilometer gas distribution pipeline with a 20-inch diameter will be connected to the system.
Industries and domestic consumers in a few neighborhoods of Korangi, Hashmi Goth, Mansehra Colony, Allahabad Goth, and their surrounding areas in the city would be impacted by the gas supply suspension from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.The event transpired following the gas company’s 24-hour suspension of the megacity’s gas supply on July 28.
The message went on to say that the technical team of the SSGC would work to get the gas back on as quickly as feasible.
