Christian Reeves, a Rugby father of two, was traveling to work on July 30 when he was involved in an accident in the Warwickshire town that left him with a significant head injury.
His son Dominic Reeves wrote on GoFundMe that following an operation to relieve pressure on his head, he “fought a very hard battle” and was rushed to the hospital.
But on August 5, having not responded as expected to medication, he passed away.
According to Mr. Reeves, his father, 52, was not wearing a helmet when the early morning event occurred.
“It’s hard to say because I want my dad back, but if he had been wearing a helmet, his injuries could have been lessened or he could have been completely fine,” he said to the Birmingham Mail. Put on a bloody helmet, then.”
It was claimed that two fighting cats had crossed his path, as captured on CCTV from a neighboring garage.
Because his father loved coconut, Dominic said he gave him a Bounty chocolate bar just before he passed away. He is currently collecting money “to give him the send off he deserves”.
Following a bicycle accident in the US in June, TV personality and chef Gordon Ramsay issued a reminder to everyone to always wear a helmet.
