After a recent upgrade to its iOS version, WhatsApp has started rolling out a long-awaited feature that lets users label particular contacts and groups as favorites.
The messaging app, which is owned by Meta, revealed the new functionality by releasing WhatsApp for iOS 24.16.79 on the App Store.
Users can prioritize their most critical discussions by adding them to a favorites list, a functionality that was first teased at earlier this year. Once added, these favorites will be easily accessible and function as a conversation list filter by being prominently displayed at the top of the calls page.
Users can use this feature by going to the settings of the app and selecting the recently added favorites area, where they can control their list by rearranging, adding, or removing contacts and groups.
