Operations SSP Rana Abdul Wahab has taken notice of the event, suspended Naveed, Arshad, and Tariq from their constable duties, and placed them under custody. In addition, he appointed Jaranwala SP as the chairman of a three-person commission to investigate the incident.
The students, Ali Kamran and Dastgir, who live in Chak 353-GB, Kot Kabeer, were reportedly riding their motorcycles back home after taking part in an Eid Mild parade at Jaranwala.
The Elite Force constables are said to have opened fire on them without giving a reason when they got close to Rai Haider Ali’s farm house, seriously wounding Kamran and Dastgir.
For medical attention, they were moved to the Jaranwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
The other two pupils, who were not injured in the incident, claimed to have changed.
