Meanwhile, a snow leopard cub that was temporarily sent to the Bronx Zoo in New York around 17 years ago has not been returned to Pakistan by the United States.
A month ago, the cub—roughly two and a half months old—was taken from its natural habitat in Nazabar Nullah in the Yasen valley of Ghizer district.
Investigations are being conducted to apprehend further parties implicated, and three persons have already been apprehended.
The 2.5-month-old animal has been sent by the GB Wildlife Department to a rehabilitation facility.
On September 8, the Gujar tribe’s two people of Nazbar Nullah learned that a snow leopard cub had been captured nearby by the wildlife department personnel.
