Days after the incident that left three people dead in the same area, a non-military part of Kharkiv was struck by the most recent Russian S-300 missile attacks, according to the regional governor of Ukraine, who said on Tuesday that at least 16 people were injured, two of whom were in serious condition.
Oleg Synegubov, the city’s governor, stated that the missiles struck residential structures.
Situated 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the Russian border, the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has been subjected to many strikes since Russia initiated its special military campaign in February 2022.
The mayor declared that there were no military objectives in the region and that several residential properties had been destroyed as a result of the strikes.Authorities in the larger Kharkiv region earlier on Tuesday asked almost 3,000 people living in over twenty towns close to the frontline to leave, claiming an increase in Russian strikes in the area.
