A British woman was shocked to hear from friends that, despite her obituary being online, she was still alive.
According to the UK newspaper Metro, Nottingham resident Faye Finaro, 39, was taken aback to read her name and picture in Mansfield Chad’s obituary section.
A congratulations message for my business opening was posted on the Mansfield Chad website [two] years ago. The undead Finaro replied to the publication, “It seems this section of the Chad is merged now with the legacy obituaries, and it is showing that I am dead.”
Then, claiming to be the “only person,” she requested that Legacy remove the obituary.\She then requested that Legacy take down the obituary, claiming that it is alarming others and that she is the “only person in the world” with her name.
The journal then informed Finaro that the obituary had been taken down, although it may potentially show up in search engine results for roughly 30 days.
Finaro’s obituary included a flower delivery option for her bereaved family.
Finaro supposedly didn’t see the post until a friend contacted to confirm that “she wasn’t dead,” after finding her name in the “Legacy” section of the website.
