In Khuzdar, Balochistan, a person who was connected to the death of gold medallist Irtiza during a robbery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal has been taken into custody again.
Abdul Aziz Jakhrani, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), stated that the suspect had earlier been apprehended in Khuzdar and turned over to the police in Karachi. But in June, during a hearing in City Court Karachi, he was able to get away.
It has been confirmed by the authorities that the suspect in the murder of Irtiza is back in detention and will shortly be handed over to the Karachi police.
On June 25, the man accused of killing Irtiza ran away from the court after being apprehended during a CIA raid in Quetta and making the false allegation that he had apprehended the gold medalist’s killer.
