LAHORE: While being moved from the Sahiwal prison, two terrorists, including the mastermind of the July 2021 attack on the Dasu Hydel Power Project, were slain by their accomplices, according to law enforcement.
The terrorists were on death row and were being moved from the prison due to security concerns, according to a spokesman for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
The spokesperson stated, “Accomplices of the arrested terrorists opened fire on police to get them freed, consequently shooting both of them dead.” The incident happened on Sammundari road in Sahiwal.
On July 14, 2021, an explosion claimed the lives of at least 13 persons, including nine Chinese nationals employed on the Dasu Hydropower Project (DHPP).
