According to a statement on his Instagram profile, the artist, whose true name was Jack Revill, passed away in Ibiza on Saturday morning after complications from the unintentional injury.
Jack Revill, also known as Jackmaster, passed away too soon, and his family confirmed this with great sadness, stating that they were “utterly heartbroken.”
“The family kindly requests privacy as they navigate the immense grief of this devastating loss, even though they are overflowing with support from friends, colleagues, and fans,” they wrote.
The single Nitro, featuring Kid Enigma, was just released by the Glasgow-born DJ who co-founded the record label Numbers.
He stated to the music publication Electronic Groove: “It was about becoming motivated and excited in the club.
Sadly, those times are few and far between. I blame those who don’t dance and the phones.
One tribute was posted on Instagram by the British electronic duo Disclosure, who wrote: “It’s unbelievable. Heartbroken. Jack, thank you for all of the wonderful memories and motivation. This is simply terrible, terrible, terrible.
“Can’t believe what I’m reading… in an industry full of ego, you were hands down one of the nicest fellas we ever met along the way,” wrote CamelPhat, another British dance and electronic duo. We are thinking of our friends and families. My friend X, rest in peace.
