ISLAMABAD: In honor of Pakistani scientist Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary’s groundbreaking contributions to the medical sciences, Hunan University of Medicine (HNUM) in China named its recently opened research building after him.
According to a news release, this ground-breaking 13,000-square-foot facility will accommodate 17 full-time researchers committed to furthering scientific collaboration between China and Pakistan.
HNUM, one of China’s top national public medical colleges, was founded in 1912 by famous medical educator Mr. Yan Fuqing.
It now includes two campuses, Jinxi and Jinhai, totaling 945,300 square meters, and is run under the direction of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education.
