For the 2024–25 international season, 25 male cricket players have been given 12-month central contracts by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which go into effect on July 1, 2024.
These contracts are a part of a three-year deal that was made between the players and the PCB last year.
For the first time, five of the 25 players have been given central contracts. Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Usman Khan, Khurram Shahzad, and Muhammad Abbas Afridi are among them.
A-category contracts have only been given to Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, according to the PCB’s roster.
Fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi have been given B-category contracts, while Shan Masood’s B-category deal is contingent on him continuing to be captain.
Players like Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique, and Abrar are in the C group.
