GILGIT: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Wednesday that Gilgit Baltistan will receive a 100 megawatt power supply right away and that a Rs1 billion endowment fund would be established for university students.
During his all-day visit to Gilgit today, the prime minister made this announcement while presiding over the extraordinary meeting of the GB cabinet.
The prime minister also launched a Rs1 billion merit-based endowment fund for Karakorum University and Baltistan University students at the conference.
