A retake of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) for applicants who took the exam on September 22 has been authorized by the Sindh cabinet with a budget of Rs232.14 million. Although a date has not yet been determined, the retake will be free of charge.
Within the next six weeks, the provincial health department has been given the responsibility of making sure the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Sukkur administers the updated test without a hitch.
After an investigation found that the previous test’s integrity had been compromised, the Sindh High Court ordered a retake, which is what this ruling is in response to.
The court ordered the provincial government to hire IBA Karachi or IBA Sukkur for the retake and pay for all related expenses.
