According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, four Pakistan Army personnel accepted martyrdom during a bloody gunfight with terrorists in the Karama, South Waziristan District, general area.
Five militants were killed in the gunfight as a result of Pakistan’s security forces’ successful counterattack. However, four courageous soldiers who battled valiantly during the mission lost their lives in the intense shootout.
The martyrs were identified as Lance Naik Habibullah (28 years, from District Orakzai), Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (30 years, from District Karak), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30 years, from District Karak), and Naib Subedar Taib Shah (38 years, from District Tank).
The security forces started a sanitization effort in the area after the operation.
